The Gift!

We love having our friends visit us in Costa Rica!  It is an opportunity to share our Pura Vida life that we find so enjoyable and enjoy the many activities that there are to do here in this amazing country!

Recently we were blessed with the company of  The Garrett's, a family that goes back a long way on our historical register of friendships.  It was an amazing time of walks on the beach, shelling, boogie boarding, nature hikes, monkey tours and dining on the wonderful fresh bounty of Costa Rica!

One of my very favorite things to do here is of course to shop for fresh fruits and veggies at the Farmers Fair which allows me to prepare my healthy fruit smoothies and parfaits.  Pineapples or "piña" are grown and harvested in abundance here and are always readily available.  I just so happen to love it too so there is most always a beautiful fresh pineapple sitting on our counter top waiting to be cut!

While visiting the states we were able to "catch up" with the Garrett family by meeting for a dinner out, a good ole' USDA American steak house was our choice of course,  and at the end of the meal we were given "The Gift"!
Yep, that sweet girl Ritcha had her thinking cap on when she was doing this gift shopping!  What could be better for a Costa Rica dweller than a super duper Pampered Chef Pineapple Wedger?

 And it works!!!
 How cool is that!!!

Well,  I am off to enjoy a relaxing morning on the beach with some sand between my toes, wind in my face and tranquil reflection which will be followed up with a pineapple smoothie!   Read more here about The Farmers Fair in Quepos so that when YOU visit you can stock up on some fresh fruits and veggies for yourself!

The pineapple has been a universal symbol of welcome, friendship and hospitality for many centuries all over the world.  We welcome you to come to Costa Rica and share some with us!

We are looking forward to YOUR visit!

A very special Thank You to the Garrett's for visiting with us in our home in Costa Rica and also for "The Gift"  It is something that we will treasure always and we will think of you with every juicy bite of pineapple that we take!

Bur don't stay away too long.....make some plans to get on back down here.....I hear that waterfall calling your names and I believe that there is a monkey or two wanting you to feed them a banana!

Pura Vida !
